About Us

Ramakrishna Vedanta Mission has been working towards integrating its programmes and services and consciously moving from welfare towards development. Ramakrishna Vedanta Mission is working closely with the local bodies and Citizen’s Associations across states to bring about changes at the policy level.

Ramakrishna Vedanta Mission, founded on 12th of January, 1965, On the Auspicious annual birthday of Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902), is a non-sectarian spiritual organization, who has been serving mankind in various forms of humanitarian and social activities for over half a century incessantly. Apart from leading a life of renunciation and to the realization of Eternal Truth, the objective of Ramakrishna Vedanta Mission, is, for the practical implementation of this profound ideal of Swami Vivekananda. Inspired by this ideal of service to mankind, the monks and devotees of Ramakrishna Vedanta Mission have been relentlessly serving thou stands of men, women and children irrespective of caste, creed & religion because they see the living God in them.

Swami Sibeswarananda Maharaj

Swami Sri Sibeswarananda Ji Maharaj, a revered monk and spiritual guide, serves as the Principal of the Ramakrishna Vedanta Mission, headquartered in West Bengal. He is the spiritual disciple and son of Swami Gahanananda Maharaj, from whom he received Diksha and his early monastic training. Deeply influenced by the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, Swamiji has dedicated his entire life to the service of humanity and spiritual upliftment.

From 1996 to 2004, Swamiji served at Belur Math, the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, where he was engaged in various spiritual, educational, and humanitarian activities. His service during this period extended throughout West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Jharkhand, focusing on the upliftment of marginalized and tribal communities.
